What exactly is home staging?
In a nutshell, home staging is a process in which a home is prepared to sell, showcasing it to its fullest potential.
Why should I stage my home?
A staged home has been shown to bring a quicker sale and higher selling price than one that has not been staged. Too many home sellers think that their home is fine just the way it is, or feel that they don't want to spend the money to hire someone to stage it. But what they don't realize is that the key to selling a home is showing it in a way that a prospective homeowner can see themselves living in the house. Clutter, personal items, family photos, memorabilia, and dated color choices, wallpaper, carpets and such, can turn a buyer off. Most people can't visualize themselves living in a space that is showcasing the current owners' lifestyles and tastes. What a home stager does is to de-personilize, de-clutter, and arrange the home to make it more appealing to a wide variety of prospective buyers, transforming it into a space where the buyers can visualize themselves living.
